The CSIA Apprentice Instructor Program is an opportunity for any teen aged 13 – 15 who is a competent parallel skier looking for a great employment opportunity. The program provides employment with the Snow School that teaches guest service/professional social skills, working with a team, teaching children, and the Canadian approach to ski teaching/skiing. Apprentices will work with a certified instructor to help managed, entertain and motivate the instructor’s class.
One of the main goals of the program is to provide training for the CSIA level 1 certification. To achieve this all apprentices will be given 12+ hours of training each winter with a CSIA level 1 course conductor. When the apprentice turns 15 they will be able take a one day exam. Upon successful completion of the exam the apprentice becomes a certified CSIA level 1 instructor.
