SCHOOLS ON SNOW
The Schools on Snow (SOS) program offers a fantastic opportunity for students to experience skiing or snowboarding at Poley Mountain. This program is designed for schools to book day trips that include lessons, lift tickets, and rentals, providing a fun and active winter experience for students.
Program Details:
- Participant Age Requirement: All participants must be 7 years old or older.
- Booking Information: Available Monday through Friday, starting January 6th. Be sure to reserve your spot soon, as availability is limited.
- Arrival Time: Schools should aim to arrive by 9:30 am to ensure the program starts promptly at 10 am
Program Schedule:
- Lesson: 10 am – 12 pm
- More advanced skiers/riders can progress to ski/ride unsupervised after 1 hour Lesson at the discretion of their Instructor
- Lunch: 12 pm – 1 pm
- Hill Tour: 1 pm – 2 pm
- After 2 pm, students are free to continue skiing or snowboarding for the rest of the day.
To ensure a smooth experience, please submit all paperwork at least one week prior to your arrival.

INSTRUCTIONS - IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Be On Time for Your Lesson:
- Arrive at least 90 minutes before your lesson during peak times (weekends) if you need a lift ticket or rentals
- On weekdays, 45-60 minutes before your lesson should be sufficient
- Late arrivals WILL NOT have their lesson extended
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- 7 days' notice required for Camps/Bear Cubs to receive a program credit for use that same season.
- 48 hours' notice required for all other purchases to receive a program credit for use that same season.
Accuracy of Ages and Abilities:
- Ensure the age and ability level provided during booking is accurate
Lessons with Young Children:
- A parent/guardian/chaperone may be required to accompany the lesson if your child needs help with the chairlift, getting up after a fall, or moving around the beginner area
- The accompanying person must be able to comfortably ski/ride at the speed of the group when needed
